Speakers Ready Room

All MASCC/ISOO 2018 Invited, Sponsored and Oral Presentation speakers are requested to submit their presentations on-site to the MASCC/ISOO 2018 Speakers' Ready Room at least 1 hour before the start of their session. The MASCC/ISOO 2018 Speakers' Ready Room will be clearly sign posted at the MASCC/ISOO 2018 Meeting. 


Conflict of Interest Disclosure

PLEASE NOTE, ALL SPEAKERS ARE REQUESTED TO INCLUDE A SLIDE DISCLOSING ANY CONFLICT OF INTEREST AT THE BEGINNING OF THEIR PRESENTATION. THE TEMPLATE SLIDE MAY BE DOWNLOADED HERE:

Oral Proffered Papers Session

Abstracts scheduled as Proffered Papers have been scheduled in a Parallel Session. Each proffered paper has been allocated a total of 8 minutes including questions. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint and limited to 10 SLIDES (including the Title slide).

All MASCC/ISOO 2018 Invited, Sponsored and Oral Presentation speakers are requested to submit their presentations on-site to the MASCC/ISOO 2018 Speakers' Ready Room at least 1 hour before the start of their session. The MASCC/ISOO 2018 Speakers' Ready Room will be clearly sign posted at the MASCC/ISOO 2018 Meeting. 


Presentation Guidelines

If using a PowerPoint (or any other software application) presentation, please note you need to bring it on a CD, a DVD or on a "disk on key" Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it on one of the conference's computers in the Speakers' Ready Room, at least 1 hour before the start of the session. 

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session - in addition to checking it in the Speakers' Ready Room. 

Alternatively, you may supply your own laptop computer. In such a case please confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it first in the Speakers' Ready Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Important note for Macintosh users:

In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the Speakers' Ready Room: 

1.      Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC). 

2.      Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC ). 

Alternatively, you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. In such a case please confirm you provide it with a VGA adaptor for external signal and come to check it first in the Speakers' Ready Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note that VHS Video projection, 35 mm' slide projection and overhead projection (projection of transparencies) will not be available.

 

e-Posters

e-Poster Presentations

In an effort to highlight the research presented at the meeting and to provide more time for attendees to discuss your poster, the abstracts selected as Oral e-Poster Presentation will be displayed during a special designated e-Poster session. During this session you will be expected to be at the e-Poster Station to present the results of your research and answer any questions.  

Abstracts scheduled as e-Poster Presentations are allocated 3 minutes oral presentation.

The presentation will be facilitated with the use of an electronic poster board, on which Presenters will upload your poster prior to the meeting date. The system will allow you to move around and zoom in on any section of the poster (just like a large iPad).

Please submit your poster as a 1-page PDF-file in portrait orientation.

In Pixel:  1080 width x 1536 height (portrait orientation)  

In cm:   38,1 width x 54,2 height (portrait orientation)

Recommended fontsize:  16 

Max. file size: 40 MB


If you wish to add a video to your poster please consider the following technical requirements: 

Fileformat:   .pptx 

Videoformats:  .mp4, .mpg, .mov, .avi

Max. file size:  100 MB

Max amount:   1 video

Sound:   not supported 

Please be aware that PowerPoint files (.pptx) will only be accepted if you have a video included. If your poster does not contain a video, please submit your poster as a PDF.

Instructions for e-posters upload will be sent to only registered participants via email after May 30, 2018. 

Discussion, Questions and Answers 

At the end of your presentation you will be asked questions about your abstract. The Chair of your session will facilitate questions from the audience. If English is not your first language, and you need assistance, please bring someone of registrered participants to help you translate.


e-Poster Viewings

e-Posters will be on display at the e-Poster stations throughout the entire Annual Meeting. e-Posters presenters do not have to stand by their e-Posters during the breaks. The e-Posters are equipped with a "Contact Author Button" which allows participants to e-mail questions to the author directly.
