Petra Ortner
"I am a pharmacist and a medical journalist. After my studies of pharmaceutical science I spent some years at the university of Duesseldorf teaching students and working on my PhD. My special personal interest is communicating the needs and benefits of supportive care in oncology, which I do for our German working group of Supportive Care since 1997 and for MASCC at the Annual meetings in 2003 and 2013 in Berlin and in 2014 in Miami. I am a long standing MASCC member and was co-chair of the MASCC Symposium 2013 in Berlin. I hope I can contribute to MASCC by communicating the key message “Supportive care makes excellent cancer care possible” further on. "
